Day 5: Monday -- Kids and Seniors Day

It was a lovely day for fairgoing, as usual. The sun was out, the sky was blue, and the smells were intense. My friend Brent came over with his wife and daughter and parked at my house. Brent hadn't been to the fair in something like 10 years. After today, he remembers why... See you next decade, Brent!...

Note to self: You can chase girls all you like IF you wear a caveman costume... Interesting...

Pssst... Hey, buddy... Know where I can score some FIRE?

Free advertising for the day. I ONLY eat Gedney pickles (and yes, this is true)... Gedney rules!

This is geeky and freaky. A Palm VIIx made out of butter. That is SO cool! Microsoft had a competing model made out of "I can't believe it's not butter!", but it melted.

And speaking of Microsoft, it's technology must be powering the Virtual Fishing booth. (Note: the blue screen of death says "command fault"). Talk about the one that got away...

Say, that's some nag you've got there...

You can't say that! Why, she's beautiful!...

I was talking to the horse...

This is just moments before a terrible road rage incident. The tractor cut off the pick-up, and then... mayhem ensued! Chickens and gophers punching each other, children screaming... Why can't people (and chickens and gophers) just get along?

Hey, and here's me guest starring (with my dad) at the Deer Stand place... (You know what to do... Remember, EMPIRE COMMONS)

Hey everyone! I think we have a winner for the stupid T-shirt contest!!!

(Oh, and for the non-work folk among you, this is only funny because the company I work for--who shall remain nameless--makes the software that manages Avaya Messaging Servers)...

Gus!

You have to check out the Sky Glider, which is a new attraction this year. It is by far the best $2.50 I've spent so far. Go at the end of the day when you're tired. You won't regret it.

Gee, and it isn't even a Volkswagen...

My feet and a tractor.
